Aquinas Music Students Perform in New Orleans
Forty-two Aquinas music students embarked on a six day adventure to New Orleans. They were invited to perform in concert for the 30th Anniversary of the French Quarter Festival.
The Aquinas Jazz Ensemble directed by Ann Wenzel, performed Basin Street Blues, Catch the Spirit, I Got it Bad and that Ain’t Good, and Rollin’ In The Deep.
District Solo/Ensemble Music Contest 2013
The Aquinas Music department had a very successful day at District Solo/Ensemble -Saturday, March 23rd, in West Salem. The band and chamber ensemble musicians earned 9 second place medals and 55 first place medals!

Robotics program advancing to nationals
Congratulations to our robotics students, their engineering mentors, and teacher/advisor Paul Callan on earning first place at the Lake Superior Regional held March 7-9. This qualifies them for the national robotics competition in St. Louis this April!

Four Aquinas Students Receive Eagle Scout
Congratulations to the four Aquinas students who received their Eagle Scout Merit Award on Sunday, February 24, 2013. They are as pictured: Nicholas Glodosky, Christian Curti, Ryan Amble, and Benjamin Bettis.
Nicholas Glodosky’s Eagle Project - A newly opened section at Woodlawn Cemetery was bare compared to the rest of the cemetery with its mature trees and landscaping. Through generous donations of friends, family, Trees Today, and La Crosse Monument Company, Nick was able to purchase several trees, lilac bushes, and engraved granite benches. With help from friends and scouts, Nick was able to provide an inviting area for reflection at the cemetery.
UW-Platteville High School Honor Band
Two Aquinas High School band members were chosen to perform February 15 and 16 at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Honor Band. The band was under the direction of Dr. Robert Sheldon.
Ashley Mutka performed her flute and Adam Steiger played tenor saxophone. They participated in several hours of rehearsal and a master class with Professor Dawn Lawler and Allen Cordingley. The event ended with a stellar concert performance in the Concert Hall...More Information
Students Perform at WWSMA Honor Band
Seven Aquinas High School band members were selected to perform February 15 at the fourth annual WWSMA Honor Band at the Heider Center in West Salem.
They include Hannah Braun, Carina Braun, Nikki Rink, Andrew Ackerman, Ryan Amble, Sean Conway, and Brian Conway.
Aquinas vs Onalaska Game Change
The Boys Basketball game scheduled for Friday December 21 at AQUINAS HIGH SCHOOL between Aquinas and Onalaska has been moved to the La Crosse Center. The game time will be 7:45.
The Girls Basketball game scheduled for Thursday December 20 at ONALASKA between Onalaska and Aquinas has been rescheduled and moved to Friday December 21 at the La Crosse Center. Game time will be at 6:00 pm.
